Environmental Sensor
The Environmental Sensor monitors key environmental factors — air quality, noise, and wind — with real-time data transmission via LoRaWAN, fully integrated into the MyMove IoT Platform. It combines multiple functions in a single, standalone device, eliminating the need for separate sensors. Ideal for structural monitoring in construction, infrastructure, and environmental applications.

Wireless connectivity
Long-range, low-power data transmission ideal for remote and large-scale sites.
Long-term battery autonomy
Multi-year operation with adjustable sampling and transmission settings.
Full remote configuration
Configure settings, calibrate sensors, and manage alarm thresholds, all in one platform.
Durable hardware
Built for reliable use in harsh environments.
One sensor. Three channels. Total environmental insight.
Captures air quality, weather, and noise conditions in real time—including PM levels, temperature, humidity, pressure, and acoustic pressure. Essential for correlating structural behavior with environmental stressors.

Wind monitoring
Accurately captures key wind parameters essential for evaluating structural loads and dynamic behavior:
- Wind Speed – Measures instantaneous, average, and peak values.
- Wind Direction – Provides real-time directional data.

Noise monitoring
High-precision acoustic monitoring for evaluating noise impact and regulatory compliance:
- Noise Metrics – Leq, Lmax, Lpk, L10, L50, L90
- Frequency Weightings – A/C-weighting and Fast/Slow time weighting
- Standards Compliance – Integrated professional-grade microphone.

Air monitoring
Monitors key environmental parameters that affect both structural integrity and sensor performance:
- Particulate Matter – PM1, PM2.5, PM4, PM10
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Barometric Pressure
- Rainfall

Versatile power options
The device supports multiple power options to ensure continuous and autonomous operation in any environment:
- Internal battery – Ideal for short-term deployments or locations without direct power access.
- External power supply – For permanent or long-term installations with stable power availability.
- External battery pack – Extends operating time without the need for a fixed power connection.
- Solar panel – Enables fully autonomous operation in remote or off-grid locations.

Frequently asked questions
The Environmental Sensor features three independent data acquisition agents: Air, Noise, and Wind. The Air agent measures PM1, PM2.5, PM4, and PM10 particulate matter, as well as temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. The Noise agent provides wide-spectrum acoustic analysis including LAeq, Lmax, Lpk, and statistical metrics (L10, L50, L90) with selectable A/C and Fast/Slow weightings. The Wind agent, when equipped with external probes, measures wind speed (instant, average, max) and direction.
The sensor can operate on two 3.6V LiSOCl₂ batteries or external 12–24 VDC power. Battery life depends on active agents and acquisition cadence. In low-power mode with moderate cadence (e.g. Air and Wind every 30 minutes, Noise off), autonomy can exceed 2 years. Intensive acquisition in Always-On mode reduces life to a few days.
Yes. The core unit operates independently and transmits Air and Noise data without the need for external probes. Wind and rain measurements require the appropriate probes to be connected and activated. If unused, the respective agents remain disabled, optimizing power consumption.
All data is sent via LoRaWAN to the nearest Move Solutions Gateway. Once collected, it is available in real time on the MyMove platform, where users can configure sensor parameters, visualize time series, define alarm thresholds, and export data. Remote management is fully supported.
Noise measurements follow IEC 61672 definitions, with a precision of ±0.5 dB SPL for LAeq-type metrics. Air quality is resolved to 1 µg/m³ for PM values. Wind speed and direction accuracy are ±0.3 m/s and ±3°, respectively. Temperature resolution is 0.1 °C, with ±0.3 °C accuracy.
