AXE-STD-LR-2

Accelerometer

Accelerometer 5.0 is a wireless, battery-powered sensor designed to monitor structural vibrations on three axes with high resolution and flexible acquisition logic. It supports four operating modes, synchronized programmed campaigns for modal analysis, low-latency fast trigger events, and waveform-based acquisitions for deeper diagnostics. With selectable full scale up to ±8.192 g, internal data logging, offline recording, and seamless integration with MyMove, it is built for long-term dynamic monitoring in real site conditions. It also lets users align sensor axes with the structure’s longitudinal, transversal, and vertical directions, with automatic or manual vertical-axis definition.

Main features

Everything you need, built in

Accelerometer 5.0 expands what a wireless accelerometer can do in the field. It adapts to different acquisition strategies, different installation constraints, and different diagnostic needs without adding complexity to deployment.

Four acquisition modes for different monitoring strategies

Choose between Standard Trigger with waveform, Fast Trigger for low-latency event detection, Programmed mode for synchronized campaigns, or Programmed + Fast Trigger when both scheduled monitoring and event tracking are needed on the same node

Structure-aware axis configuration

Map X, Y, and Z sensor axes to the structure’s longitudinal, transversal, and vertical directions. The vertical axis can be identified automatically from gravity or set manually from the platform, making data interpretation more consistent across installations with different orientations.

Built for synchronized modal analysis

Programmed acquisitions can be synchronized across multiple sensors with accuracy up to ≤ 500 µs, enabling reliable time-aligned datasets for modal analysis, frequency-domain assessment, and advanced structural diagnostics in MyMove.

Designed for longer deployments and real site conditions

Store data locally in circular memory, enable offline recording when connectivity is unavailable, extend battery life with an external battery pack, and simplify installation with a two-piece mounting plate, optional L-shaped bracket, and protected short-antenna configuration.

What this sensor measures

Triaxial acceleration

Measures dynamic acceleration on three orthogonal axes, with selectable full scale from ±128 mg to ±8.192 g and sampling rates from 40 to 640 Hz.

Event statistics

Returns RMS, minimum, and maximum values for each acquisition, enabling fast interpretation of event severity and structural response.

Waveform and frequency-domain analysis

In Standard Trigger and Programmed modes, the sensor provides full waveform data that can be used for deeper event review, FFT processing, and dynamic interpretation in MyMove.

Temperature

Records temperature at acquisition time to add environmental context to structural measurements and diagnostics.

Available add-ons

Battery pack

Extends operating life significantly in long monitoring campaigns and acts as the primary power source when connected.

Short antenna + protective dome

Reduces protrusion and helps protect the antenna in installations exposed to mechanical impact or limited space.

Data download cable

Uses the dedicated connector for local data download, device activation, and firmware operations.

L-shaped fixing plate

Adds mounting flexibility when the standard double plate is not the best fit for the structure or installation surface.
